چکیده
We study a system made up of one or two two-level quantum emitters, coupled to single transverse mode closed waveguide, in which photon wavenumbers and frequencies are discretized, characterize the states excitation is steadily shared between field emitters. unearth finite-size effects field-emitter interactions identify family dressed bound that represent forerunners continuum limit an infinite waveguide. finally consider potential interest such for applications information.

Photon scattering by a three-level emitter in a one-dimensional waveguide
We discuss the scattering of photons from a three-level emitter in a one-dimensional waveguide, where the transport is governed by the interference of spontaneously emitted and directly transmitted waves. The scattering problem is solved in closed form for different level structures. Several possible applications are discussed: the state of the emitter can be switched deterministically by Raman...

متن کاملQuantum electrodynamics near a photonic band gap: Photon bound states and dressed atoms.
The applicability of the so-called isotropic and anisotropic complete photonic-band-gap (CPBG) models [S. John and J. Wang, Phys. Rev. Lett. 64, 2418 (1990)] to capture essential features of the spontaneous emission (SE) of a fluorescent atom or molecule near a band-gap-edge of a CPBG structure is discussed. It is argued that, depending on the source position within a unit cell, the SE near the...
متن کاملImaging of Single Photon Emitter Fluorescence and Photon Antibunching
In this experiment we demonstrate the Confocal Microscope fluorescence imaging of various single photon emitters like carbon nanotube, quantum dots and color centre in nano-diamonds. We also measure their spectrum to characterize them. Finally we use the Hanbury Brown and Twiss Setup to test if the photons emitted from our source has antibunching properties.

The dual Dyson series [M.Frasca, Phys. Rev. A 58, 3439 (1998)], is used to develop a general perturbative method for the study of atom-field interaction in quantum optics. In fact, both Dyson series and its dual, through renormalization group methods to remove secular terms from the perturbation series, give the opportunity of a full study of the solution of the Schrödinger equation in differen...
